A very decorative elephant pitcher. I made a few pouring vessels because my husband wanted to be able to make espressos for our guests and have something to pour the coffee from. It's about 4.5" tall. Ready to pour a cup of something...
Each ceramic vessel takes a very long time to make and has multiple steps. First I handbuild the form, paint it with underglaze, then I use a tiny tool to carve all the tiny lines. If they have dots those are very carefully applied with a small bottle. It is like having a functional jewel like sculpture.
My work is meant to be used or can sit on a shelf as decoration. It is food and dishwasher safe. The exterior may be unglazed but the interior is glazed. Please do keep in mind these are not wheel thrown so they are not particularly symmetrical, that is part of the charm. I made a pinch pot and then rolled a slab and attached it to the pot. If perfection is your jam, you probably don't want this pot.
