The glorious Luna Moths developed long tails in order to distract bats from their very tasty bodies. Adult Luna Moths fly only at night, when the bats are out. They fly to find a mate, and lay eggs. They don't even have mouths so their lifespan is about a week.
This listing is for a framed original woodcut. My frames are made by a wonderful woodworker, I pick the size and color and he makes me a fabulous solid wood frame to adorn the art. I think the black frame is great for this image, but, as a customer you have options and if you would like a different color frame just send a note. I'm happy to frame it in another color.
